Zwei zugewanderte Deutsche \u00e4u\u00dfern sich klug zum Wandel, den die Krise des Islam den Bildern in deutschen K\u00f6pfen abverlangt: \u201eWir fordern Integration, verordnen aber eine Wurzelbehandlung.\u201c<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Wir f\u00fchren eine Scheindebatte, und zwar \u00fcber den Umweg der Religion. (\u2026) So wird der T\u00fcrke islamisiert und soll mit anderen Glaubensbr\u00fcdern, mit denen er weder Sprache noch Alltag noch Ritual teilt, gemein gemacht werden \u2013 obwohl er doch hier in Deutschland lebt, fernab des gef\u00fcrchteten Einflusses aus Ankara. Und dies, obwohl dieser Einfluss, wenn es ihn denn \u00fcberhaupt gibt, unserer offenen Gesellschaft, unserem S\u00e4kularismus weitaus mehr entspr\u00e4che als der Einfluss der imagin\u00e4ren Glaubensbr\u00fcder. Durch unsere Furcht beschw\u00f6ren wir aber eine solche Muslimbruderschaft erst herbei, eine Muslimbruderschaft <i>made in germany<\/i> sozusagen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ich sollte <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vorspeisenplatte.de\/speisen\/2004\/11\/zeit-fuer-eine-runde-politische-naivitaet.htm\">meine Kampagne f\u00fcr das T-Shirt \u201eGastarbeiterkind\u201c<\/a> reaktivieren \u2013 um alle die Einwanderer zweiter Generation sichtbar zu machen, die wir unauff\u00e4lliger Teil unserer Gesellschaft sind, und gerade deshalb nicht als Beispiele wahrgenommen werden.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a7<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/mwt\/feature\/2007\/06\/27\/jane_austen\/?source=whitelist\" target=_new><i>Salon<\/i> schreibt \u00fcber eine neue Jane-Austen-Welle<\/a>, die die vorgeblichen Ideale der schlitzohrigen Romanautorin aus dem englischen <i>Regency<\/i> als L\u00f6sung f\u00fcr die alleinstehende Frau von heute anpreist.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Part of what differentiates this round of Austen consumption from dozens of past infatuations is the degree to which the satiric acid of Austen&#8217;s work seems to have been drained and replaced with 100-proof, widely accessible romance.<br \/>\n(\u2026)<br \/>\n\u2026this year&#8217;s wave of books and biopics is tinged with something different. Instead of acknowledging the enduring pleasures of Austen&#8217;s satire, or demonstrating how smoothly her centuries-old observations apply to contemporary society, this round of fanaticism is more interested in going back in time &#8212; or perhaps simply backward &#8212; to play dress-up in empire-waisted gowns with suitably dashing suitors to swoon over.<br \/>\n(\u2026)<br \/>\nIn the mad dash to find their Darcys (and to invent one for their favorite author) some readers and fans have forgotten that Austen regarded mushy female infatuation as side-splittingly funny. Though she wrote in the Romantic period, and though her plots conform to those of classic romance, Austen&#8217;s work was not Romantic in style. Her heroines are not so much breathless and overcome by their emotions as they are practical and genuine. Elizabeth is never ga-ga over Darcy; when &#8220;Sense and Sensibility&#8217;s&#8221; Marianne Dashwood goes all nutsy for dashing Willoughby, she is punished for her rain-soaked silliness with a cold that nearly kills her. And Austen&#8217;s &#8220;Northanger Abbey&#8221; is a sendup of the popular Gothic novels with which her contemporaries were so obsessed.<br \/>\n(\u2026)<br \/>\nOne of the great pleasures of female life in the 21st century, especially if you&#8217;re of the class to which Austen belonged and into which she sunk her sharp teeth, is the possibility of earning your own living, of not having to land a man to survive financially, of no longer having to wear your need for a husband on your sleeve &#8230; or tote bag or bumper. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00a7<\/p>\n<p>Dann noch zwei Postings des bis zur Unheimlichkeit klugen Scott Adams:<\/p>\n<p>1. <a href=\"http:\/\/dilbertblog.typepad.com\/the_dilbert_blog\/2007\/07\/my-compliments-.html\" target=_new>\u201eMy compliments to you\u201c<\/a><br \/>\n\u00dcber die Macht von Lob<\/p>\n<p>2. <a href=\"http:\/\/dilbertblog.typepad.com\/the_dilbert_blog\/2007\/07\/hypnosis.html\" target=_new>\u00dcber Hypnose und was er daraus \u00fcber die menschliche Wahrnehmung gelernt hat<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The power of hypnosis, for me, was in understanding how easily people can confuse the imagined with the real.
