Auf dem Heimweg gestern von der Arbeit herrschte eine seltsame Stimmung. Es war sehr warm nach einem sonnigem Vormittag, aufziehenden Wolken am Nachmittag, ich sah viele Menschen auf der Stra\u00dfe in Hemds\u00e4rmeln. In den Vorg\u00e4rten \u00fcberschlugen sich die Fr\u00fchlingsblumen: Immer noch Krokusse und M\u00e4rzenbecher, aber auch Osterglocken, Blausterne, Traubenhyazinten.<\/p>\n

Von allen Seiten bauten sich dunkelgraue Wolkent\u00fcrme um Flecken von blauem Himmel auf, trieben Windst\u00f6\u00dfe vor sich her, diese wiederum st\u00fcrzten sich auf Laubh\u00e4ufchen. Das Licht wurde fahl, vereinzelte dicke Tropfen malten dunkle Tropfen auf den Alphalt.<\/p>\n

Gegen 18 Uhr war das Gewitter fertig gebaut, es brach mit heftigem Wind und Sturzregen aus. F\u00fcr die kommenden Tage sind k\u00fchle Temperaturen und Regen angek\u00fcndigt.<\/p>\n

What we think of as the ancient rituals of the monarchy were mainly crafted in the late 19th century, towards the end of Victoria\u2019s reign. Courtiers, politicians and constitutional theorists such as Walter Bagehot worried about the dismal sight of the Empress of India trooping around Windsor in her donkey cart. If the crown was going to give up its executive authority, it would have to inspire loyalty and awe by other means \u2013 and theatre was part of the answer. \u201cThe more democratic we get,\u201d wrote Bagehot in 1867, \u201cthe more we shall get to like state and show.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
